FAQ

General

Does Atlas tell me what to buy? No. Atlas describes scenarios and probability ranges. It never produces buy / sell / hold recommendations.

Is Atlas a forecasting tool? No. Atlas frames every output as a scenario, a probability range, a stress test, or a historical analog — never as a forecast.

Does Atlas connect to my broker? No. Atlas is a software tool that runs on your Mac with data you provide. It does not place trades.

Pricing

Why $299 + $99/year and not a monthly subscription? The base product is a tool you own. Atlas Live is a service — live data, cloud LLM, premium support — and a service has ongoing costs, so it's priced as a subscription.

Can I use Atlas without Atlas Live? Yes. The $299 base license gives you everything. Atlas Live adds daily data refresh, cloud LLM commentary, and Sparkle auto-updates.

Privacy

Does anything leave my Mac? Only what you explicitly opt into. See the security white paper for the full list.

Is there telemetry? No.

Technical

What Macs are supported? Apple Silicon (M1 or later), macOS 14+. M4 Pro 24GB recommended for the full ML stack.

Can I script Atlas from the command line? Yes — via AppleScript (osascript) or Shortcuts.app. See the user guide for the full command list.

Methodology

Why probability ranges instead of one number? Because no model can give you a true point forecast. Showing ranges is honest. See the methodology page for details.
